                                                                        Program of the Day

The purpose of this meeting is to take an informative look at EPS to see the effects it has on various school units.  There will be plenty of time for discussion on the subject.  We hope that you will invite school board members, municipal officers, and RPC members to attend.  We also suggest that you invite legislative candidates to the meeting so that can have a better understanding of the formula.

If you have any suggestions or comments that you think would help to make a better program, please get it touch with Dick Gould at 695.2791 or 280-0757.  Email is perf3170rag@verizon.net.

Refreshments will be served.  We are not having lunch as we want to save money.

8:30 - 9:00      - Registration:  Room 202, Shibles Hall

9:00 – 9:05      - Welcome & Introduction of Guest Speaker,

9:05- 12:00     - EPS FUNDING FORMULA presentation by Gerald “Jake” Clockedile.  Jake will make a   presentation of the EPS formula and will have Q & A session.  One concern that we have           heard over and over is the problem of the funding formula.  This is an opportunity for us             to gain a better understanding of how it works and an opportunity for us to share our    own attitude toward it.

Jake will go over two or three 279s to show the effect EPS has on differing school units.

12:00-12:20     - Update on the repeal effort.

12:20-1:00     - Wrap up and adjourn.
